OK, of the guys who have swapped in the 5.7/6.1 motors, what changes to the wiring harness or custom wiring harnesses need to be made to allow for the factory gauges, etc, to work?

you can add a tach to the computer wiring , we adapted senders onto a 6.1 & used Autometer guages for everything

I added an original style oil-sending unit & temp sending unit and used the cars wiring harness (oil wire need to be longer). The alternator gage will have to be converted or bypassed to avoid the higher voltage. You can have the tach updated or add an adapter (I would update it so it’s more accurate)

Anyone with some more info here?

I want to go with a 5.7 in my 74 Cuda but I'm finding it hard to find info on modifying the stock harness. Has anyone on here hacked up the stock harness to run on a stock ecm?

I read about Street and Performance selling a harness to run on a stock computer, so I assume that one could modify the stock harness to run the 5.7 Hemi...

I would like to run it on the stock computer for a while and then upgrade to probably an AEM in the future.
