Wiper motor bushing?

I am putting together a 72 Challenger and I got the car after paint with lots of boxes of parts to put it together with.  I was given a new(Reman) wiper motor to use in the car.  The owner also gave me the old wiper motor which still has the short arm on it that I need to put on the new motor.  When I was getting ready to put the wiper pivot mechanism in the cowl, I noticed that the hole in the mechanism is like 3/4" or a little bigger and the shaft on the arm I put on the new motor is only like 5/16".  I noticed that Year One sells a kit that evidently goes in the big hole and has a smaller hole the arm goes in but it is like $35.  Is this right?  Is there a cheaper way to mate the motor to the mechanism?

It sounds like you have a 2-speed setup and are missing the plastic bushings which connectt he arm to the motor. Sorry, I do not have pics........Barry?

No, I have the three speed motor.  Are there two different mechanisms, one for a two speed and one for a three speed?  I could take a pic of what I have if that would help.

That's a 2-speed arm setup.
