 Couldn't help thinking of that Don Henley song looking out at the lake yesterday. No boats on the water, trailers in the lot, even the drive over was quiet. On a typical Friday there would be hundreds of people around, not this day. A bright, sunny morning, but still kind of ere.

 Thanks, it's Lake Nacimiento. About 20 minutes west of Paso Robles. Yeah, those two lakes down south are very similar also. I used to frequent them alot when we lived in Ventura.

 Yes it was a tranquil setting that day. Would have been nice hanging out on a boat in a secluded cove too.  

 Hopefully the lake fills this winter. They are doing retrofit work on the spillway so unfortunantly it will go down to this level again next year when they resume work.

Lucky guy living near Nacimiento  Beautiful up there!  The wife and I take the drive every now and again to Cambria and would love to move around Atascadero or Paso Robles but now work for us as we're both in IT.  How about some more pics of your car  Love tan interiors!

 I really need to get the buffer going for those direct sunlight pictures. I just went over it last year and the fine scratchs are back. Getting down close to primer to so I may try waxing it instead.

 My wife and I did the same, touring around the area almost every weekend. Then we finally made the decision to move up here and love it. It will be 15 years next month. Not much work though unless you can do it from home.

I used to love going up to Ojai and driving around the lake when I was stationed at the Seabee base in Port Hueneme near Ventura.
I used to take chics up there. They loved it. That was prior marriage of course. My wife is a San Diegan and one of our first dates was Otay.

When I was a kid fishing at my hometown lake (Oklahoma) a lady at the fishing docks told me that I should look for a girl that isnt afraid to touch a fish or bait her own hook. Pretty good advice.
