dash vin tag resto

Does any body repaint dash vin tags? the reason i am asking because when i was prepping my dash for paint, the cleaning solvent got on the tag and rubbed the paint off, the part i am conserend with is the silver pentastar that is painted on it, any ideas??? thanks.
