    Througle cable does not reach carb.. Help!!!

    My 340 has an edelbrock carb and the accelerator cable will not reach, what options do I have? Thank it would help if you posted pics of your 340 so I can see how you made it work. Thanks.. I'd post pics but can't because of my iPhone

    I keep hearing talk of different accel cable lengths, where longer cables are needed for certain builds.  Sounds like your is one of them.  Maybe measure your cable length needed and start searching.  I have seen various cable lengths for sale on ebay.

    I believe there is a throttle cable adapter available from Edelbrock on stock applications.

    is it short to the carb or short to the cable mount , it is easy to make an extension to the carb using a chev valve cover load spreader or similar

    I was think g of using a chevy like set up . It doesn't reach the carb unless I use a clip from the carb to the hair pin to the cable and it looks so ghetto
