Cuda grill
« on: October 20, 2008 - 11:24:24 AM »
I am getting started again on my mopar projects after a year hiatus doing other hobbies. I have my 70 cuda grill i pieced back together and is complete but still need to do a ton of detail work. I noticed repop grills are now available pretty cheap. Are these worth it? I found a nice repop for 500 bucks, Im sure prices have come down from our crap economy. WHo makes the best repop 70 cuda grill and best supplier? I may opt to just buy a repop instead of finishing a 38 year old brittle grill.
thanks

I used a repop grille from Goodmark on my 70 and it was great. Fit good, looked good. I did have to paint it the correct textured silver though.

I paid around 900 for it. It came with the grille headlight bezels and the 4 piece trim that goes around the perimeter of the grille. I purchased it on ebay from Columbia Auto Parts out of Oregon. I have bought a lot of my Goodmark parts from them on my last 2 cuda builds without any problems.

Yeah. I've ordered, quarter panels, floor pans, trunk pans, outer wheel houses, the grille. The list goes on and on. They are one of my favorite dealers to deal with on ebay. But I'm hoping in the next year to become a Goodmark dealer then I won't have to order from anyone.

My new cuda grill kit came in today. I bought it from a parts dealer in my state. I have to say it looks awesome, much better than a 38 yo grill, even if you were to buy an NOS one. Im sure the materials used today far exceed the original materials for durablility and flexibility. The chinese have really stepped up the quality of their products. Im sure they probably made the thing for a fraction of what we are charged for them in the US but, it is what it is. VERY VERY Happy with my New grill kit. I think i will part with my original grill after receiving this one  :bigshades:
thanks
