What methods have you found to be the best tp refinsh the grille on a 71 challenger, remove paint, etc.  And does anybody have detailed pictures of a 71 challenger R/T grille?

Might want to check this thread out.  Only bad part is that the pics are looooooooooooong gone.

Thanks, I was hoping for some correct RT pics.  Also, I searched for days, and still can't see where to get the correct rivets.  I don't want to go thru all the trouble of restoring the grille correctly, only to put it back together wrong.

You gotta sand all the argent off of the grille, but since a R/T Grille is un-painted black, nothing will look 100% correct.

So far, no one I know has found 100% correct plastic rivets either.

I used semi-gloss black to made my non-R/T to a R/T grille for the black parts.

Good luck
