washer bottle question
« on: December 30, 2008 - 07:59:40 PM »
got a repo washer bottle from YO and got the nut kit for the washer pump.....question is...the washer nut kit sez to drill a hole in the tank???? to attach the nut on the pump.....is that right?

if so would it be better to run a socket extension inside tank to screw on the nut?

my 1970 Challenger did not have a bottle when I bought it....

Thanks,

 :clueless:

Does the new bottle have a hole on the bottom for the pump?

If no hole, I wonder if thats what they ment to say.

If so how would you plug the hole if you made a new one?  :dunno:

The nut installs through the existing fill hole in the top, no need for an extra hole.

yes it has a hole in the bottom for the pump....so whats the best way to screw the nut on inside?....I am guessing a long socket extension to go thru the top?

the kit came with another plug for the hole it sez to drill.....
