Challenger hood scoops
« on: December 28, 2008 - 04:17:21 PM »
Is there supposed to be a gasket between the hood scoop and the hood?  I saw some scoops on ebay that came with some type of gasket material that looked to be a stick-on.  Thoughts?

The scoops I bought along with my hood have some sort of single sided tape that you use to seal the scoops to the hood. I bought myself a cheap camera for Christmas so if I get a chance I will pop a pic of the stuff. It is nothing that you cannot find in a craft store imo.

Yes there is a gasket attached to the scoops. They are reproduced. I think you can get them from Year One.

Peel-n-stick Weatherstripping from a home store would also work.

How wide is the  foam tape?

The tape that came with my scoops bought from Goodmark is roughly 1/4" wide.
