I would only use the stripes that were available the year the car was produced, anything else just doesn't look right.

I never liked the white stripe on black in any year.

Black '73 stripes on a black '73 would be cool. There was a guy near me that had a black '70 Barracuda with a red hockey stripe that was very cool until he wrecked it three times

Whatever you do don't forget to do up the tail panel properly. Shiney black tail panels don't look right
