It depends on what you're going to do with it. A street rod would look good shaved but a stock restoration with just markers and doors shaved would look silly. It needs to be a custom or restomod to be able to pull it off.

Never seen Challys shaved but take a look at the Sick Fish by Rad Rides.

Black71, I am restoring a 73 'Cuda and going restomod with shaved markers.  The door handles on these cars are fairly flush so I'm thinking of keeping them and reworking so they are truly flush.  I may even paint body color..depending on what I do with the bumper

I always thought the designers had already covered this when they came up with the flush handles & lights.

It's not for me, but I'm over the hill....LOL

if it were me, and I had it to do all over again, I think I would shave the handles although I to like them, and I would french the side lights.  Pete

Matt, have you thought about if you lock the keys in the car ,how would you get in?I'm all for custom but this is one of mods I probably would never do on any of my cars,I would look for a nicely shaped flush mounted handles that flow with the body shape, not a square, visit your local mall parking lots or pick-a-part salvage yard to get an idea, as for the marker lights,I'm on the fence ,I like the streamline style of them  versus the ugly 72-74 lights, now those look out of place, I've seen plenty of Cudas with shaved lights and I'm not too crazy about them,I think if you get rid of the bezel and flush mount them,it would look amazing, most likely that's what I will end up doing on my 71, BTW, great sig :2thumbs:
