I just finished an electric solonoid cut out set up on a73 charger  .they sound tacky but i stuffed a pair of rags in the tips and that took some tin sound out . this car also has good compression and still sounds like a dump truck or the old cherry bomb days just best left there .c

I have the DMH electric cutouts on my 2007 Super Bee.  They are really cool.  When they are open my car sounds like Allen Johnson's Pro Stock Stratus.  When the family is in the car I shut them and the exhaust sounds stock.  Regarding smoke smell and blackening the bottom of my car, neither of those things happen.  But on an older car with higher emissions it might.  When I was a teen my first car was a 1967 Pontiac with a Thrush muffler that ended under the back seat with no pipe after it.  That car did get smoky on the inside at stop lights.  Sounded damn good though.........g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g.

I forgot to mention, or ask, the only reason I'm leaning away from them is after time do you think they'll stuff up the underside of the car? All those direct fumes and heat will quickly blacken the underside of the car, won't they? I'm think on my Challenger I'd probably use them once a drive for a good 5-10 minutes. Even when traveling at speed the heat will reflect/bounce back of the road. Anyone had them on for a good amount of time, any feedback on that issue, if any?

 :dunno:

All you would really need to get around that is a good set of heat shields on your floor pan where they dump.
