open it up, sorry about the bad news But ....
 the bolt is designed to have a certain amout of stetch or spring load to keep it tight , being under torqued it will have no stretch , I have also used a drop of locktite in the past on the bolts to be sure they do not loosen

Thanks for the bad news :'( Is it something that would happen right away or with moore mileage? I think what I mean is, do it right now or it could be to late.

Is it possible to reach with a torquewrench if the engine is in the car?

it will be ok , just go in & torque them unless on eof the bolts is already loose then check the brg for damage
