Why cant i bolt a pair of stealth heads on a orginal bore 383
They said at 440source, minimum 0,030" over
Will edelbrock prf.rpms works without boring
My engine is like new in the sylinderwalls.still see crosspattern from honeing

Maybe because of 214/181 valves. You'd need to knotch the block I would assume like the ole max wedges had

That would be my guess the edge of the valve will not clear the bore

You will need to relieve the bores for the intake valve. On a 4.25" or 383 based hi performance build, that should be done anyway.
