no luck again... it was nightmare trying to get registered. site had all kinds of errors and people got in still after it said sold out.. I wasnt one of the lucky ones though!  :pullinghair:

Thank you for your email and we are as upset and frustrated with the ticket company as everyone is. They really let us down, here is some explanation as to what happened. Also there is still the Qualifier on May 2.

Very Sorry,
Royce

Ticketing Company Suffers “Server Stroke” - Responsible For Network Gridlock During the PINKS All Out Racer Registration

Maryland Int’l Raceway has spent the last several months developing and preparing the driver registration process for the highly anticipated return of PINKS All Out. We provided a great deal of information to the racers, crew members and spectators to help ensure a smooth online experience for everyone.

Then, with just an hour left to go, the final piece of fun was posted on the MIR site, "When this message disappears... You're On Live - But Certainly Not Alone! Let the races begin..." At 7:00 pm sharp, the ticket purchasing link was officially posted on MIR’s website. This effortlessly jumped every user from the MIR site to the sales site of the ticketing company.

However, their doors weren’t just opened, they were overrun with over 5,200 simultaneous server queue requests. This mountain of incoming requests shot the server over capacity within just a few seconds; creating a bottleneck of congestion that lasted for two hours.

We were assured by the ticketing company that the anticipated volume of sales would be handled efficiently. We were extremely disappointed and frustrated that all of our efforts ended up with this result. While the system didn’t entirely “crash”, it was painstakingly slow. Keep in mind however, the bottom line is that over 5,200 people attempted to buy the 400 available entries - all at the same time! While the process was incredibly frustrating, the outcome was still the same as with all other recent PINKS All Out events; with 400 entries sold and a countless number of racers disappointed they were unable to get in.

Unfortunately, it took almost two hours for the gridlock to squeeze 400 driver entries and over 1,000 spectator tickets through the system. We sincerely apologize for the distress and frustration that this has caused.

What a pain...    :pullinghair:   I have a friend that has raced at 3 PINKS all out events with no problems getting registered.  Some folks just seem blessed.    :2thumbs:
