which shift kit and converter
« on: January 18, 2009 - 01:01:46 PM »
I'm planning to change TC in my stock 383 (now I have brake stall at 1800rpm). Rear end is 3.23. Car not used for strip/racing! I was thinking about dynamic 11" (http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/11converter727.html) but they also offer mancini 11" (http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/maa711toco2s.html) which is 100usd cheaper... but I couldnt find any review/opinion about it's reliability and quality.
Will a flexplate from my stock BB mopar converter fit the new one?
Second thing is a shift kit. At mancini they have cheetah shiftkits (http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/19cheetpowsh.html), are they equal to transgo (I was thinking about TF2, on ebay for 60 bucks) or worse/better?  I disregarded BM as they have bad opinion, found nothing good about mopar performance kits, however turbo action parts seem to be good.
So which converter to take, which shift kit to get ;)

Go with the Dynamic converter and a Transgo shift kit.
