Great Day at the Scottsdale Pavillions
« on: January 19, 2009 - 12:07:43 PM »
Lots of folks from the Barrett Jackson Auctions go over to the Mcdonalds at the Scottsdale Pavillions for a show and shine.  The place was mobbed but I managed to park on the fringe and walked around for about eight hours.

No I didn't take many pics

Lots of cool Mopars!! Lots of cool B bodies including several HEMI cars, a 6 pack Coronet, and an unrestored '69 Charger 500 (440 4 speed dana) parked across from me. Not too many E bodies but there were a couple of nice ones.

I got to chew the fat with some folks I haven't seen in years and even Robert Wolf came over to talk to me about my car for a while.  Great guy!!

One funny thing happened, I was walking around when I saw a beautiful flock of geese pass over. They went around and flew by a couple of times as other geese joined them and then all flew away.
Later, I saw a group of people looking at my car and thought to myself the Barracuda is not that great............  later it dawned on me that maybe something could be wrong so I headed over there,,,,, briskly
You guessed it My car and several around me were bombed by the geese. A big mess but no real damage.  The way everyone was looking at my car I figured it must have been hit by a truck or something so a little bird poop didn't bother me too much.  My car got the worst of it though   :grinyes:

The pavillions were fantastic.  Last Saturday some guy showed up with the Marvel wheelstander! I am fuzzy on what this was (Little Red Wagon??) but it was an old little red truck with a hemi in the box.  Did you see the beat up old Galaxie with a 427 SOHC in it? Talk about a sleeper. Not bad for a show n shine!

Hey Cuda360, I saw your car at the pavillions and when I went over to look at it there was no Geese poop on it, so it must of happened sometime after I looked at it.

I agree, great day for a car show and there were a lot of cars there.  I did see a real 70 hemi cuda parked in one of the spots and they were asking $249K for it, my first thought was good luck with that.

Overall it was a good car weekend here in Phoenix, I went to Russo and Steele on Thursday morning (lots of nice ebodys there), Barrett Jackson on Friday (more nice ebodys) and the Pavillions on Saturday.  With 70 degree weather life was good!

Slightly changing topics, Cuda360 I saw a for sale sign in your car, why are you selling your Cuda?

It happened around 3pm or so but I had it cleaned up quick.

I have lots of cars and I really don't drive that one very much anymore.  It just sits in the garage Plus having some money in the bank right now would be good
