One difference with me was I grew up in South Texas!  Hot and humid!  On a side note, I never saw snow until I was an adult.

As mentioned before I was a military brat, Lived in Alaska from 61-66 (Elmendorf AFB) then San Antonio Tx 66-67 (Randolph AFB).... No A/C...  Talk about climate change...   Oh, and it snowed in San Antonio that year...

Living where I do in northern Ontario, I'm more concerned about a good furnace. lol
Only A/C I have is in my car/truck/camper.

Born in 1986 had both my whole life.

....yeah we sure had it easy. ~40 channels of TV in our air conditioned house, but if we got bored we could take our air conditioned car out or our air conditioned trailer....We weren't rich by any means, ac was included in the house sale, cars with a/c were common place, trailers with A/C were common...

Always had A/C but my parents never turned it down very low.  They don't like paying the extra cost for it.  They have theirs set at 80...what's the point in even turning it on?  We never had cable though.  I remember when we got our first VCR.  That was a big deal.

No ac till I was paying for it.

Wall heaters so we absolutely baked the hallways to get a little throughout the rest of the house. Oven with the door open in kitchen for the cold mornings. After writing this I am suprised I am alive. Lol.

It was a good time when getting vhs instead of beta AND living large with the corded remote.
