Power Steering Cooler
« on: January 30, 2009 - 10:25:11 PM »
Looking to install a power steering cooler in my 70 Cuda.  Does anyone have a picture I could use as a reference or perhaps a part number.  There seems to be a couple of different types.  While I'll probably go for a used one, is there anyone out there that repops these.

Thanks.

I've only ever seen them on Diplomat cop cars.

I came across this a week ago while reading the latest issue (March 09) of Mopar Collector's Guide.

I spoke to Mega Parts 4 or 5 months ago and he was saying they were gonna get them repro'd.

The Federal Power steering cooler has a long J shaped arm attaching it to the back of the Federal pump. The saginaw is a very short hardly noticable attaching arm to the pump.

Here is a pic of the factory one on my truck. Since I have a remote reservior set up on my Challenger, I think I'll plumb one into that system using a trans cooler with AN fittings. Pic of it underneath the truck unit without the cooler installed.
