Need help with broadcast sheet decoding
« on: January 25, 2009 - 05:49:17 AM »
Can someone help me?  I am trying to decode my broadcast sheet and I am having some problems with some areas.  I bought the book by Jake Hare titled 1969-1974 Mopar Broadcast Sheet Decoder Manual and don't quite fully understand what is where and goes to what.  To start with the problems, our car is a early built 1970 chally convert (sched prod date of 9/28/69) which ends up being a Sunday to start off with.  Secondly, the broadcast sheet is on the 1969 E series and not the 1970 series and it is stamped about half a line up which makes it even harder to read.  Is there anyone that has a master list of codes or such that could help us decode this broadcast sheet?  Items such as idle and tire labels are both 77 on the build sheet yet the book has no listing for what code 77 is for both.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

I had the same problem with mine.  I had to get a "F series 1970" broadcast sheet and change the numbers over to it.  The columns are slightly different between the E and F series.  Then I was able to decode it.

I tried that.  Still had problems as the coding seems to be in 69 format.

Yes, some things did but still am wondering about the codes in the blank spots on the sheet. :clueless:
