I put a post in this section about Smith Racing Radiators. I had asked if anyone was familiar with them, but no response. I guess they are fairly new to the market.
Due to the cost of copper, it would have cost me 800 bucks to recore my factory radiator. :scared:I couldn't see paying that much, so I ordered a direct fit big block 26" down flow aluminum radiator (4-core with 1 1/4" tubing) from Smith Radiators and it arrived today. I can say without a doubt that it is a good quality piece and fit very well (and looks good too). I had to do just a little adjustment for interference with my washer fluid reservoir bottle. The radiator has mounting brackets that match to the factory location and tabs for drilling/mounting a fan shroud (my factory fan shroud fit perfect). The company is in Cambridge City, Indiana. The radiator was about 600 bucks, but well worth it. It is fitted with a drain plug, transmisson cooler and as mentioned, mounting brackets. You can check out the site at
www.smithsradiator.com. Good product. I recommend them!!
If there is any interest I can take a pic and post it of the installed radiator.
