    I put a post in this section about Smith Racing Radiators. I had asked if anyone was familiar with them, but no response. I guess they are fairly new to the market. :dunno: Due to the cost of copper, it would have cost me 800 bucks to recore my factory radiator.  :scared:I couldn't see paying that much, so I ordered a direct fit big block 26" down flow aluminum radiator (4-core with 1 1/4" tubing) from Smith Radiators and it arrived today. I can say without a doubt that it is a good quality piece and fit very well (and looks good too). I had to do just a little adjustment for interference with my washer fluid reservoir bottle. The radiator has mounting brackets that match to the factory location and tabs for drilling/mounting a fan shroud (my factory fan shroud fit perfect). The company is in Cambridge City, Indiana. The radiator was about 600 bucks, but well worth it. It is fitted with a drain plug, transmisson cooler and as mentioned, mounting brackets. You can check out the site at www.smithsradiator.com.     It's a 22 inch opening.  I think the p/n is correct as the 26 c/w 2-10" fans.  I would call Flexalite on a recommendation.  I doubt the 26" would fit without relocating the battery and some cutting.

    With out a doubt, hands down the only rad that is even a consideration. I used to over heat at an idle, I tried other aluminum rad packages and fan combos, but when the smoke cleared the only one that worked and come with a guaranteed to keep my car cool is BE COOL. It was pricey but well worth the cash, they are custom made for the E body and worth every penny. Dont be stingy with the cash when it comes down to keeping your cool.   :2thumbs:

    I have mersured up the 26" core rad and it will not fit. So I Guess I have to look at det 22" core rad insted. Much modes you had to do to install it?

    Easy install.  You might need to find an upper rad hose that fits or go to a flex type hose.  I ended up increasing my alternator size to run the fan and keep 12v at idle which was a bit of a job.

    Ok, cool. I'm hoping the uper hose will fit as my has stock pas. side inlet as teh new rad has. But but that should be a problem anyway.
    I have 92 amp Powermaster alternator allready and a large battery, so that shouldn't be a problem.

    Just phone them, they will set you up, they are great to talk to, and I believe they offer a money back guarantee. I bought the one for a challenger by mistake, they sent me the correct one in exchange and I didnt even buy it directly from them.

    I see that one he becool application the terminal switch is to be installed in one of the heads and not in the radiator. Why?

    The reason I'm asking is that there will be a Alterktion in my Challenger this year (Or else widing'cuda will slap me like a b!tch, and quite rightly so. I've had it lying around far too long now).
