bend my own brake lines?

been contemplating bening my own lines, figured if i bend my own fuel line, might as well try bendin my brake lines....i have power discs up front and drums out back...is this going to be pretty straight forward? do lines have to be close to the same length up front or can i just make route them in the most direct route without concern of everall length?

no issue , buy a GOOD quality flare tool & a good tube bender , I do this all the time , take your time & carefully fit the lines , the proportioning valve sits on the inner left fender so the front lins cannot be equal lenght but this has no effect on brake performance

I bought a flare kit from Eastwood Years ago , it has been a great tool , Mark & I bought an expensive bender for doing only 3/16 line , it worked perfectly & made extremely tight bends from a Tubing supply co in Tenn

Look into Rigid tools flare tool. It is very important that you spend money on a quality flare tool. It may seem like you are spending alot of money for something you are only going to do once OR rarely use but it is very important you get it right.

3/16" line is easy enough to bend by hand.  Just don't kink it, bend it over your thumb.  5/16 line for tranny cooling or stock fuel lines is much tougher.  I use a bender for small radius bends.

I use and Imperial flare tool, ~ $70.  Not as slick as a hydraulic flare tool ($300+), but makes nice flares.  The $9 harbor freight or even the $18 craftsman seem to work like crap.  buy or borrow a good flare tool.   DOUBLE flares, as 2 step flare, is required for brake lines.

If only doing 1 car, I once bought a kit from In-Line Tube....very nice stuff AND it has the armourflex shielding like OEM.

I have a blue point flare tool. It works flawless. By far the best I have ever used.
