Very cool! stupid question...but why does it still have a carb mounting surface on it?  Is there another intake piece that bolts to that?

That is a nice looking manifold and rails.

My 2 holley TBI thottle bodies and my aftermarket 1000cfm body all use the standard square bore pattern. Almost all aftermarket ones are this pattern now.

So does anyone know if it'll be okay to run this manifold with no rear coolant passages?  I'd like to think it'll just minimize manifold heating but I don't know for sure.  Also, what about the middle ports being bigger?  If it is for porting material, I might just send it out to get fully worked before installing it.

Did you know that all of my small block manifolds don't have rear passages. They are blocked off, just like yours.
