I watched faithfully to see Petty, Isaac or Baker beat Pearson, Allison or Foyt.  :bananasmi   You know, back when they looked like real cars.  :grinyes:

I haven't been a fan of NASCAR for quite some time. I lost interest when Mopars were out and Petty started driving Pontiacs.  :walkaway:

Oh, and Tony Stewart....  :villagers:

I hadn't looked on the inside yet. I was told what team it was and where they were.  This front was cut off the crash car. I was told that every team keeps a whole car at the track, so if they crash, they bolt the new parts off the crash car onto their qualifying car being driven. This is why it didn't have the logos, graphics and such on it.  But i'm just going by what I was told.

I can get ahold of another cool NHRA item if someone wants a really super cool display.

A 7000 hp nitro hemi engine, with complete parts, top to bottom. But the mag drives are empty, the blower has no blades, the block doesn't have the pistons inside, but it is all correct as if it would install and run as a current engine. Aluminum block and dual plug heads. Carbon fiber hat. Everything.   6500 bucks. Even with the zoomies on it.

My partner built this out of spare parts just for a display engine.

Cool stuff I wish I had an extra 6500 laying around that would be a neat.

That is an awesome score.  I can't say that I'm a real big Nascar fan, but I do respect the drivers and crews for what they do and what they work with.  I do love watching the old races from the sixties into the early seventies.  I wish Speed channel would show those again.  I'm burnt out on Pinks and that guessing game they show all the time.

Good score Al, why don't you try to adapt it to the ride on mower, at least while it sits in the garage, now that would be a great talking point..   :roflsmiley:   :smilielol:   :burnout:
