Hello everyone. Another Newb
« on: February 25, 2009 - 06:01:58 PM »
Hi all,
Ever since watching my friend do burn outs with his 340 Cuda in the HS parking lot in 1975, I've wanted one.

For those suffering from this economy, I am sorry, however it is a "good" thing for us Cudawannabes.  I've been living in Japan for a few decades and moving back to the US this week.  (Utah)  Priority will be rent house, buy Cuda.  Maybe start my new job.

Retired US Marine and current Government employee.  I doubt I will post much because like any Cudawannabe, I am CLUELESS.  (grin)  Thus far, the lurking has been illuminating, and thanks for having me aboard.

David.

Welcome to the site.

Where in Japan were you? I was stationed onboard the USS Independence in Yokosuka from 91-94, although I wasn't there all that much (mostly in the Gulf) I still enjoyed Japan and still do since I married a Japanese national. Went to Kyoto and Hiroshima last summer, beautiful area.

Good luck on the Cuda hunt. :2thumbs:

Kevin

Thanks all.  I have been on Okinawa (mostly) for years.  Ex is local, kids (grown) are half, new one is another Asian.  :)  I expect culture shock.  (Driving frikken 55 MPH terrifies me right now)

I'm looking at a car from a member here who is still putting it together.  Seriously, I gathered up some hard-earned cash for a real estate deal somewhere.  But then I thought what the heck.  I DESERVE a Cuda after all these years.  Looking at the burn out vids here..well, you all know what I'm talking about.  Can't get good burnouts with granite counter tops and Jack and Jill bathroom sinks!!

:clapping:  Welcome back home and to the site!!   You'll have more fun with that Cuda than you will ever know!  Good luck on getting it to become a reality.
