New to site...from TX
« on: February 22, 2009 - 12:30:25 AM »
Well Im needing a lot of help guys. I bought a 73 Cuda back in high school and was building if up back in 96 when I decided that I had to have a car. Long story short my parents bought me a (mustang) of all things and I gave up the Cuda. Well my dad and I have been at it back and forth as he has just let the car get worse than it was to begin with and I have decided to bring it home to my house. My plans are to completely get the car back up and going and give it back to my parents. Im on here to try and find parts for this thing as they are VERY extinct in my area. You guys will see me in the classifieds quite a bit and you will see me asking a lot of questions since I have become a ford fan through out the years. Ive got a 8 second 10.5" tire Mustang (same one I got in exchange) and love to drag race, but I want the Cuda to be on the streets to keep my true roots alive. I am looking for a complete 4 speed assembly, bellhousing, A833, pistol grip shifter assembly, trans tunnel, and a complete front disc brake assembly. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Welcome to the site.  You'll  get lots of help from all the great people here.  Don't be afraid to ask questions - you won't get flamed, like sometimes happens on other sites.  :2thumbs:

Any pics of your car?  Because if nobody's told you:  :useless:

I'll try and get the pics uploaded this week. I forgot to mention that my dad has other mopars including a 71 Duster with a 360/4 speed combo that he races and is currently building a budget 63 Ply. Savoy that he picked up dirt cheap ( and yeah its a 2dr sedan 6cyl car). It was very hard to find but we found it at an old ladies house in San Angelo, TX in an old shack back behind her house. Thank you for the friendly invitation.

Welcome Omar.
I am not sure but I think any B-body or C body spindles and discs will mate up. There should be some kind of field car or junkyard around you could get access to. I am not 100% sure on this since all my cars always were lucky enough to have discs but I think I remember seein that info somewhere. A quick ? in the Brakes Dept. should get you squared away.
