cuda doors
« on: March 20, 2009 - 12:32:24 PM »
HI. Did the 70 cuda doors have the crash bars in them, and if they did, was it a late production, Also correct me if i,m wrong, the window felts where a snap in rather than rivets or screws. Thanks

If the 70 Cuda's were like the 70 Challenger's, then no crash bar, and the window felts did indeed snap on to the door panel.

Mmmm. My doors have the holes for the snap in felts. That,s a good thing, But I,m not sure about the term crash bar, about mid point down in the door, at the crease line. i have renforsement metal against the outer skin front to back. Maybe this is standard and not what i so call crash bar. Thanks ?

all of the 70 doors I have seen on the cudas have the impact beam/crash bar. Mine was a late '69 build and it has them. I had 4 spare doors and all of those had the beam/bar as well. Snap in felts also.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
