Made in America
« on: February 21, 2009 - 02:59:52 PM »
John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock   (MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6 am.

While his coffeepot

   (MADE IN CHINA )

was perking, he shaved with his electric razor

    (MADE IN HONG KONG ).

He put on a dress shirt

    (MADE IN SRI LANKA ),

designer jeans

    (MADE IN SINGAPORE )

 and

tennis shoes

    (MADE IN KOREA )

After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet

    (MADE IN INDIA )

he sat down with his calculator

    (MADE IN MEXICO )

to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch

    (MADE IN TAIWAN )

to the radio

    (MADE IN INDIA )

he got in his car

    (MADE IN GERMANY )

filled it with GAS

    (from Saudi Arabia )

and continued his search

for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.  :wavingflag:

At the end

of yet another discouraging

 and fruitless day

checking his

Computer

    (Made In Malaysia ),

Joe decided to relax for a while.

 He put on his sandals
(MADE IN BRAZIL )

poured himself a glass of wine

    (MADE IN FRANCE )

and turned on his TV

    (MADE IN INDONESIA ),

and then wondered

why he can't find

a good paying job in AMERICA .

Trying to explain ANYTHING when you are on the phone with them only leads to great frustration  :swear:

On the other hand when I call a large US company within the US I have to listen to music for 30 minutes and how important my phone call is (or get disconnected), they just do not give a damn anymore and then they whine when production gets outsourced. On top of it the call gets recorded "for quality purposes" thats a twilight zone $%^&*
If those products would be produced in the US they would cost three times the amount due to product liability, Unions and lawsuit happy lawyers pushing prices up due to product liability lawsuits...
Sorry, but this problem is self inflicted and needs to be addressed on a different level.
Outside the box this is the sad truth.
