Best way to installing new fuelly Fel-Pro oil pan gaskets.
« on: March 09, 2009 - 03:42:40 PM »
I'm installing those "very expense" fel-pro fuelly gaskets",#1834, these have the metal inserts. I'm a little iffy on using the standard process to install these. I know this sounds like stupid question but what's the best way to install them since their not cork or the black composite rubber?  Should I use orange RTV or glue them to each side of the windage tray and than use RTV?  I don't want to screw them up.

Thanks

I woudl use a thin coat of Ultra Black RTV for it`s high oil resistance , you will need two gaskets of course one above & below the windage tray
