Electrical Ground Question
« on: March 15, 2009 - 04:46:38 PM »
What grounds the taillights?

I am installing my rear wire harness, and I have power to the lights.  As evidence when I ground them with my test light, but the light are not on.  So, I need to figure out where the ground is for the rear harness.  The parking lights, dome light work fine.

Thanks

Assuming they are like Challenger tail lights, the buckets need to have a clean connection to the body for the ground connection. Do you have the tail light buckets screwed in place?

Thanks Mike....you are always first to respond.

And no Mike, Cuda are not like Challengers... :poopoke:

I figured it out though....it grounds off the license plate light  :clueless:  Go figure!

On a good note...All the lights work now... :bananasmi  :bananasmi  :bananasmi

Next comes either the brakes or a tune up and she will be road worth again.  :ylsuper:
