Does this sound like a good deal for a 360?

I am looking for a fairly hot 340 or 360 to put into my Challenger that now has a 318, does this deal sound ok? Any comments would be appreciated. 

.030 over 360 with cast flat-tops, rebuilt 340 rods, rotating assembly balanced, fresh cam and main bearings, fresh rings, comp xe274h cam, ported 587 360 heads, rpm intake, car oil pan, PTC 3600 converter, pro-rebuilt 727 trans with full-manual valve body.  $2800US.

Marginal deal at best , Cast pistons , A cam I would never use & run if the mill production heads with no particular good qualities

If you can hear it run, you wont build one of your own for that. If it can be verified (if not by you, someone on line local to it?) there's no reason not to IMO. It should be internally balanced, I'd verify that. Otherwise, it's not a bad deal IMO.

I dont see a good reason to internally balance that kind of mild street engine. I would go with forged pistons but otherwise ok setup.

What I was meaning was, with the internal change of the rods, it would have had to be balanced anyway. If in the future the combo is changed, you want to know how it was balanced. I dotn externally balance anything. But there are many who dont internally balance anything. The point was to know which way that one was done.

That's a pretty high stall on the converter.  Not that the specs indicate it, but was this combo raced a lot?

Yes, I did think that it was a rather high stall, but the engine has only just been built, so they say.  We will get someone to hear it run before we purchase.
