Yup, heat gun generally works well as long as they are not too old.

Heat gun works good but be careful with the heat, maybe a regular hair blow dryer is safer.
Also to get the glue off easy (don't laugh now) Avon skin-so-soft works great...

Try a eraser wheel from your local parts store or an auto body supplier. Works on a cordless drill and won't harm paint( if it is not a fresh paint job).
