How far do Cuda exhaust tips stick out of the valence?

I'm in the process of installing the last of the polyurethane busihings in the rear suspension.  Next on the list is the Cuda rear valence with the cutouts and exhaust tips.  (then I'm done with the "winter projects" for this year )

How far to the exhaust tips extend past the valence?

From the research I've done via looking at photos, I'm guessing anywhere from 1 to 2 inches.   

I figure someone here would know the "correct" answer...

I believe it's 5/8 or 3/4 of an inch.  Not very much in any event.  I have seen the engineering drawings in the past and it was only a little bit

   It's not very much, I attached a picture for you to look at.  If you need an exact measurement, I can go measure mine this weekend if you like, just say the word.  Click the 2nd thumbnail photo in my signature for another view.

Another question...

My car was originally a 318 3-spd with (I believe) single exhaust.  The car got dual exhaust in the early 80's (mufflers and resonators).  Did the Cuda's have the same mufflers and resonators as the "regular dual exhaust cars"?  I would think so...but want to ask the question.

I've purchased 2.5" stainless steel tips and I trial fit them today with the cut-out valence.  I think if I get the exhaust tip installed all the way on the resonator (I need to make an adaptor), It should be in the 1/2 to 3/4" range.
