Car show forecast turnout this year
« on: March 16, 2009 - 01:44:44 AM »
Car show season is approaching soon. But will the turnout suffer from the economy. I expect so but I hope not too much.

Has anyone gone to some of the early shows just beginning? What was the turnout been like?

Last year, the big killer was fuel prices. Hopefully they will hold at a reasonable level this year. If they do, I think turn-outs will be okay.

I think the economy will have it's biggest impact in the car corral and in the swap meet, not onthe show field.

I just heard on the news this AM that gas prices are on the rise. Because gas has been relatively cheap, the demand has gone up and the supplies have dropped. I am guessing that gas will be high again this summer. I am hoping I am wrong. I want to put some miles on the 'Cuda and go to some shows and cruise nights.
