correct finish on rallye gauges

Here is a picture of the rallye gauges on a 70 Challenger with 69,000 original miles that has lived in a garage.

What is supposed to be wrong with it??

Nothing. That's the point. There have been debates on the correct finish of the faces, especially the tach, so this is to help clarify and be used as reference for whoever wants it.

As far as the tach........from 6500 to 8000, there it is supposed to be a little redder.......that one is faded like mine.

Well, after checking it does seem a darker shade or "redline" was intended above 6500 RPM

Looks like you got a 72 and up set with a 70/71 tach in there. Is that correct?

Come to think of it , it is a 73 dash.  I forgot that, but I thought all the 8000 RPM tacks were 3 shades.............

The original tach finish has a medium orange from 6500-8000, even though you have a nice original the orange is faded, they all do. I have several NOS tachs exibiting the true original color.
