    Will I need to get carpet insulation for my car before I install the pre-formed carpet or is that just an optional thing?

    there is many ways to do this , you can cut or get rubber insulation , install dynamat or similar product , the carpet also come with Jute backing which will insulate as well

    The carpet does have the backing.  Just wasn't sure it that was sufficient.  Thanks, CP.
