Lower Shock Mount Plate

 Does anyone have a picture or discription of the actual shock mount/stud?

 When tightening the (Napa replacement) shock in place the rubber insert seems to be pinched to tightly. Like the stop for the nut is not out far enough. If that makes sense.

 Also are the washer ID sizes bothe 1/2" cupped or the larger Inside Diameter that pass over the bushing.

I don't know what year your car is, but 70's had their own shock mount plate. That shouldn't matter as far as the stud trouble you are having though. Whack it with a hammer, that's what I did. If I read you right, you can't get the shock in far enough to that cup that Bluemonster posted?

 Thanks Bluemonster. The eye on the shock is the thread size in your picture, 1/2" . The shoulder there would not work as it's about the same size as the steel bushing.

Also it's a 70 Challenger, Should have said that.

You May have to put a coller/sleeve on your shock mount.  No biggie.

 Good idea that would work. I have some extra material in one of the bins too.

 Anyone know what the original 1970 setup was? I have a pair of the shouldered plates also and may have switched way back. Not really sure.

 Besides a coller/sleeve don't forget to have a washer on both sides of the shock.
