Door lock rod
« on: April 14, 2009 - 10:00:26 PM »
I was re-assembling the doors today, and had difficulty in getting the door lock rod to connect to the lock cylinder.  Is there a trick to this?  Do I need to unhook the bottom of the rod first to hook into the bit on the end of the cylinder? A picture would be great.

Thanks.

yes you need to remove the bottom of the rod from the latch , it is just pulls out of the nylon bushing in the latch , hook it back into the lock & pop it into the latch or you can remove the E clip from the back of the lock & reattach it to the lock after the rod is hooked in but this is harder to do
