Looking at getting some taller tires for my 3.91 gear car for long highway trips (I can't drive 55 mph, lol) Have only 26 inch tall tires now and thou it runs better that ever and even pulls better up to top speed I'm holding 4000 rpms in the low 70's mph...fine for 10 to even 30 mins, wasteful during 3-4 hour highway trips...changing the ring gear is out since dummy me have a 8 1/4 rear end and not a 8 3/4.

So thinking of 235/75/15 tires just to swap out for those rare long trips...those tires run 28.9 inchs but the truck tires 30X9.5X15 run 29.5 inchs and the 31X10.5X15 are 30.5 inchs. Yes they do make 265/70 and 75 series tires but those truck tires are a bit narrower and more likely to fit (its not a Cuda but a Mangun/Regis car-cost less, still is fun, IMO).

Am I dumb again for thinking of running truck tires and not passenger car tires..I found some that look great tread wise. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190240714104&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=

It just be on for for steady speeds not zero to who knows what speeds...yes they are rated for 112 mph...fine for my driving on long trips  :bigshades:
