Super fast clicking turn signal
« on: April 22, 2009 - 07:02:21 AM »
When I first turn on my turn signal (left or right) it blinks super fast for a second or two and then ramps down to a slower pace.....relatively normal pace but still seems a little fast to me....

I see the blinker unit is mounted under the dash, middle of the car, way up and attached to the underside of the top of the dash.....

Wondering if this fast/slow behavior is normal or if my blinker is thinking about dying? All the lights work....

could be a bad flasher or you may have a bulb that is intermittent

I'd check for corrosion on bulb terminals first and then just replace the flasher unit.

...wondering if I will have to take out asecond mortgage for a new blinker....LOL

The key in/ horn relay is pricey for what it is.....holding out till I can find one of those used to test with.....
