I just picked up some aluminium valcovers for my 360..what is the proper way to prep them for paint?  I do not want the paint peeling off or anything like that. :banghead:

I've just used the high pressure car wash on them and never had a problem, but dutch's advice is the best.

media blast, clean and etching primer would be the best. However you may rather look into local powdercoating for a life-long finish..

Is there a wrinkle black powder coat that looks the same as factory?

I wouldn't be suprised, I'd call a few local powdercoaters and see if it exists. If so, it's probably not too far behind.

Yes, there is a wrinkle powder coat that will match factory. The guy who has done powder coating for me told me there are 3 different 'grades' of wrinkle. He even showed me one that looks just like wrinkle, but is much smoother and easier to keep clean.
