Wow, I am on the internet arguing with Christians about the existence of God; what a pointless and futile thing to be doing. And now someone is calling me names. Great. It is true that I have not been a frequent contributor since joining this site. I joined because I own both a Challenger and a Cuda, and wish to learn about them, and if possible share some of my knowledge. Thus far you all seem to be doing o.k. without my input. I don't often stray off the subject of cars because I am quite outspoken and admittedly often contradictory in my opinions. They are just that; opinions, just different ones to yours. Are we not all on here just expressing our opinions and beliefs? Most issues facing us today are far too complex for me to fathom. I am not even professing to be right or correct. One of my Grandfathers was a mixed arable and livestock farmer, back when my country was a 'green and pleasant land' and not the toxic lifeless wasteland it is now, so I am not entirely ignorant as what happens on a farm. I know enough that its a tough way to make a living, and I'm glad I don't have to do it. It does bother me that Christians seem to feel they have a monopoly on 'goodness'. I have managed to reach a good age without killing anyone, and feel fortunate to have done so. It seems to me terribly disrespectful to suggest that no Atheists have ever died for a cause. I have a conscience, and would have been ready and willing to fight and die in WW2 for example, as I am sure many Atheists did.
Without wishing to trivialise the events referred to in the original post, It never ceases to amaze me the surprise that greets them in a country where the right to bears arms is enshrined in your constitution, and weapons so freely available and used. In your culture is it small wonder that grudges and scores are so easily settled with firearms? Before the NRA guys start on me, I am not anti-gun; you can be sure that if I was fortunate enough to live in the USA, I would want to be armed to the teeth. Come to think of it, that may not be a bad idea over here in the UK. I am sure it will be no consolation to you that our youth too are killing each other at the drop of a hat, sometimes with guns, but mostly by stabbings in the absence of guns. We no longer have capital punishment, which is a good thing, since there have been many examples of miscarriages of justice here which would have been otherwise irreversable. The death penalty does not seem to provide a deterrent to murder in the USA. It seems rather ironic to me that in a thread on this subject, we are all falling out with each other so quickly.
Anyway, I don't know where I am going with this. Before I return to cyber-space oblivion, I wish to apologize sincerely, particularly to you Mr. Lemming, if you feel that I have offended or disrespected you. I am sure you are a good and well intentioned person, and if you have a problem with your car that I can solve I will be most happy to help...
