I know the secret.  I'd spill the beans, but that wouldn't be any fun.   :naughty:

PM me if you just can't stand it and you have to know how it's done.

I figured it out after the second time I did it.  Spoiler alert below:

Take a few numbers in the 90's for example.  Every time you do the math, you get 81.  Same with every other.  You'll always get:

9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, and 81.  You will never get another number.  So it puts the same gift on all of those.

Magic?   :grinno:

Simple math?   :grinyes:

She got it - you didn't do the math right.  11-1=10-1=9.  Look at the table again and all the multiples of 9 have the same item.  When you reset it, it mixes up the items, so that if you don't pay close attention, you don't notice.

And Steve is right - with every two digit number, when you subtract the sum of it's digits, you get a multiple of 9.

Pulling numbers out of my head:

My age (44) 4+4= 8; 44-8=36; 36=4x9

My son's age (11) 1+1=2; 11-2=9

My dad's age (70) 70-7= 63; 63=9x7

Everytime I did honest math she got them.  But when I looked at my keyboard and randomly selected 2 number and put them together (I see 2 and 4 so 24) she didn't get it....I was thinking of the cursor being the give away as well
