Im sure that while restoring your cars we have all learned some tricks that saved us some money, i have learned a few and thought "why not share them so some other people can save some money too" First thing was with my SE headliner, it was warped all to heck and i thought i was going to have to buy anothor one, turns out the headliner bows that came standard are the exact same shape and fit perfect on the back of the headliner. You can take some 18 guage mechanics wire and tie the bows to the headliner using the holes that are already in it. I used a slightly thicker headliner material then factory and you cannot see any of the wire under the headliner, i wish i would have taken pics to show yall. I only had to use 2 of the bows to get it straightened back out. Second was installing my vinyl top, the local parts store wanted 200 for the vinyl top glue to glue it on, i used 2 5 dollar cans of contact cement from my local hardware store and it worked great. Im sure i have a lot more i jsut have to think about them.
