I just got a fake PayPal e-mail that looked so good I actually sent my e-mail address and password to the link that was in it. It's next page asked for my credit card number, expiry date and bank account PIN number. That's when I thought it was odd; didn't add that info, and immediately changed my PayPal password.
The e-mail starts out saying, "We regret to inform you that your account has been temporarily limited". It's address is "
msglimit@webssl.com". Just thought I'd pass this along. After reading PayPal's security section they say they'll never ask for personal information in an e-mail...wish I would have known that sooner.
It's all good, no money lost and I'm secure again.
