69 Newport Convertible $7000 obo
« on: April 27, 2009 - 11:09:18 AM »
Looking for a *C-body lover* to buy my 1969 Newport Convertible.

This is a solid driver, a triple black, 383 2bbl, 727 Torqueflite with 90K miles on the odo. Cannot verify but it seems correct. I have owned it for 4 years and over the last 2 years put several $thousand$ into it. It has new 15" Magnum wheels from Specilaty Wheels with great rubber. Really looks terrific parked or going down the road. The fuselage body with 2 doors and convertible top is awesome. Last year all new brakes: new wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, and rebuild kits. New master cylinder and power booster. Several new hard lines. All fresh fluids then too, front to rear, and a tuneup. It runs down the road like it was built to do.

Exterior is a conservative 10 footer. Nice repaint about 8 yers ago with red pinstripe detail on the body crease. It has minor chips and dings but shows itself well. Some small dents in trim pieces and the rear bumper has pushed area. Condition of top is sketchy, I never put it up. This a fair weather ride for me.

Like all vintage Mopar convertibles it has rust. Trunk extensions have rust damage and trunk floor has been patched over. Underneath rockers and floor pans aren't bad, no serious rust through. Frame has scale but no structural issues.
Interior looks nice but is older material. It is a power window, cruise control, PS/PB, AM radio car - very unusual option package.

Asking $7000/obo.. I have much, much more in it. Clear WA title, located Seattle area. Will consider solid pickup truck trades.

That's a nice cruiser.  It's a bit far away for me and out of my price range, but I'd love to have it.  Good luck with your sale.
