Just swapping the pads from stock made a substantial difference on my car. I can slow down enough at the track (drag strip) to take the first return road exit vs. having to wait for the second one after a run. First one or two stops from dead cold in cold weather can be a little longer than expected. No extra dust or squeaking from my experience. I put about 3k miles on them before taking my car apart.
I have slider calipers from a 73 dart / manual brakes with the stock diameter rotors on my car. I am using 11" drums and stock brake shoes in the rear.
