"Worlds Fastest Street Viper"
« on: May 02, 2009 - 08:40:26 PM »
...at least it was for a few days

...several years ago, my business partner took his 96 Viper GTS to Jason Heffners in Baltimore for some major work...not sure exactly what all was done to it, but it returned home with 850RWHP and turned the 1/4 in a new record time of 9.91 @147mph....I drove the car a couple of times and I've never driven anything like it since

...the first time I was behind the wheel I took it to the edge of town on a deserted piece of 4-lane.....stop light in the middle of no where....light changed, I hit it hard thru the first 3-4 gears and I happened to glance at the speedo and it was passing 145, all in just a few seconds...it sounds like thunder when idling...quite a car

...a week or so later, Heffner Performance had released another street Viper even faster, but for a while, the fastest street Viper in the world was just down the road

...currently, the Viper is in FL.

That sounds like fun, maybe too much fun.  I have only had the pleasure of riding in one. My brothers friend has one and your right by the time he hit 3rd gear, hello 100mph, for some reason he wont let me drive it. :burnout:

That's a sweet looking ride. I love the color!! I am surprised it didn't come off during that run! :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:
