engine restoration question
« on: April 27, 2009 - 07:32:27 PM »
What color should the distributor clamp and bolt be for a 70 challenger with a small block?  I am in the process of putting the engine back together and want to do it right the first time.

Thanks,

Brian

Sory, no resto guy... but I believe they are a semi-gloss black, dipped, not sprayed. Like the brackets.

Ok, cleaned off the black paint that was on the hold down clamp and low and behold, it was copper underneath.

Next question, does anyone have a pic of where the spring goes that holds the kickdown linkage?  I didn't think to take a pic when I started disassembling everything and now I can't find where it gets attached to.

Any help would be appreciated.
