the steel sleeve &  shell are molded onto the rubber bushing so you change all the parts , with the poly you reuse the steel sleeve & shell & just install the poly busing into the old shell assuming it is not damaged

I appreciate it, but I installed the LCA poly bushings already.  It sure made it simple.  I replaced everything and have not even torqued everything back down yet.  I was thinking that I would wait and have it all torqued down at the alignment shop since they have to adjust everything then anyway.

How do you like the ride with the new vs. old?

On the little trips I've taken so far, I like the ride alot.  Definately seems stiffer in the corners.  I'm not sure how much of it is the new polyurethane suspension components vs the torsion bars.  I know both have improved the ride substantially  I havent been over any railroad tracks yet.  I'm sure I'll be able to tell the difference then...

The directions I got with my bushings said if using polly, to remove the rubber bushing from the can and insert the polly. Were they to big or something?

The rubber MOOG bushings didn't come with any instructions.  I knew the original shell was left in the control arm, and I thought I could just push the rubber out of the old shell and into the new...wrong :bricks1:

Oh I guess I mis understood.  I thought you also had polly bushings to replace but it didn't fit in the can after the rubber was out.

Mine are poly-graphite so I hope that it helps.  What do you use for lube?

Yeah.  I put up in the same place as the old, but it seems like it might rub.  So, I loosened it up until I get my engine in.  I think then I can see where all will rub and what adjustment will need to be done before tightening.

What do you use for lube?

Another thing to use besides the silicone they comewith is heavy duty anti seize on the pins and bushings. It has graphite and molybendiumdysulfite and a couple other lubes in it.
Loctite makes it.

I've had rubber bushings that squeaked, so itisn't limited to poly.
